Cheers & Jeers

Cheers & Jeers

hCheers: To the gentleman with Lubbock roots at the Arlington In-N-Out Burger Sept. 18 who took time to thank my Vietnam veteran Marine husband for his service. And, to all folks and /businesses that show appreciation. Glad we do a better job recognizing the service/sacrifice of our veterans.

— Rebecca Lucero, Arlington

iJeers: To Eric Nadel for his comments on this year’s Texas Rangers. Calling them “dregs” and complaining that no one knows their names was so offensive. These guys never give up and play with more heart than many former “name” players. Have enjoyed watching them immensely!

— Linda Brand, Benbrook

hCheers: To Tarrant County Roadside Assistance. When my tire went flat on Loop 820 , I called the number on the back of my driver’s license, and a young man from the sheriff’s office, Tyler Fisher, quickly came and changed my tire. He wouldn’t accept a tip, but did take a hug.

— Sherry Baker, Haltom City
