Body found face-down on rocks in Trinity River in Fort Worth, authorities say

A body was discovered Wednesday on rocks in the Trinity River in Fort Worth, police said.

A person who reported the body to authorities about 1:30 p.m. said it was face-down near Christal’s, a sex shop in the 6700 block of Randol Mill Road.

It was not clear whether the body was male or female, or an adult or juvenile, a Fort Worth police spokesman said.

The body was pulled from the water and will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office. A pathologist will determine the cause and manner of death.
