Star-Telegram readers’ photos of the Trinity River

Star-Telegram readers love the Trinity River. That became apparent when the newspaper’s review of a Fort Worth museum’s Trinity River photo exhibition several weeks ago sparked heated discussion on social media.

The Amon Carter Museum of American Art is exhibiting “Meet Me at the Trinity: Photographs by Terry Evans.” The Chicago-based photographer made five trips to Fort Worth for this portfolio of work, and while it includes some representative photographs of the waterway, there was no way she was going to get the views that regular visitors to the river see.

So we asked our readers to send us their photographs of the Trinity. We received more than 100 entries. The river draws people to its banks. It is a destination for walkers, runners, bird watchers and young explorers. A few brave souls even dare to paddle the surface.

Many of the submissions focused on the bridges, and those were some of the most interesting photographs. See if you don’t agree.
