A new photo exhibition at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, “Meet Me at the Trinity: Photographs by Terry Evans,” features photos taken by a Chicago-based artist of the Trinity River — the waterway, events and people around it.
Now the Star-Telegram would like to feature local residents’ photos of the Trinity. Do you have any photographs that were taken in or near the river? We’d like to consider running them in an upcoming issue of Life & Arts. These may be landscape photos, or they may be portraits or event photos.
How to submit: Email photos as high-resolution .jpg attachments to firstname.lastname@example.org with “Trinity River” in the subject line. Please do not mail hard copies or use a photo-sharing service, such as Hightail, Imgur, Picasa or Flickr.
Size: They should be “actual size” if sent from smartphones or “print quality,” at 200 dpi or better, if scanned.
Be sure to include: The name, address and phone number of the person submitting the photo, as well as the names of all the people in the photos (left to right) if they are portraits. Also, explain the photo in a few sentences to give us some context. Be sure to let us know when and where the photo was taken. Photos submitted with incomplete information will be discarded.
If your photo is chosen, we may contact you for an interview to tell us more about it.
Fine print: Please submit just one photo per photographer, so make it your best. No copyrighted pictures, please. Do not submit a photo you did not take. By submitting photos, you agree to let the Star-Telegram publish your photos and names of people in them in the newspaper, on our website and on our social-media sites.
Deadline to enter: All submissions must be received by 5 p.m. Sept. 21.
